We are seeking a locally connected, personable individual to strengthen the hotel’s relationship with its surrounding community while bringing its story to life through authentic, in-the-moment content. This role is rooted in people and place. The primary focus is building meaningful local relationships - encouraging local guests, partners, and communities to engage with and visit the hotel - while capturing the natural, unscripted moments that reflect the true atmosphere of the hotel. We are looking to move away from overly polished, corporate-style content and towards something more candid, warm, and real. This role will play a key part in shaping a more relaxed, personality-led social media presence, while ensuring all written and visual content reflects the hotel’s brand, tone of voice, and attention to detail.
Key details
- This role is up to 20 hours per week, based out of our gorgeous hotel.
- You will have access to events, tastings, and special experiences (so you will need to be available to attend our events which may cover occasional evenings and weekends).
- You will have the chance to shape and grow the hotel’s voice online.
- Reporting to the hotel General Manager and Central Marketing team, you'll get the chance to work in a collaborative and fun team environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, suppliers, and community groups.
- Actively promote the hotel within the local area to drive awareness and visits.
- Identify opportunities to bring local people into the hotel through events, partnerships, and experiences.
- Spend time within the hotel capturing natural, candid moments across the day.
- Attend events, tastings, and special occasions to both engage and document the experience.
- Create engaging, informal photo and video content (including Stories, Reels, and short-form video).
- Write clear, engaging, and on-brand captions and social media copy.
- Capture behind-the-scenes moments, guest interactions, and the rhythm of the hotel.
- Showcase local partnerships, seasonal activity, and community connections.
- Ensure all content - visual and written - feels authentic while aligning with brand tone of voice.
- Maintain a high standard of spelling, grammar, and overall presentation in all communications.
- Help evolve the hotel’s social presence to feel more human, spontaneous, and engaging.
- Engage with followers and respond to comments/messages in a warm and natural manner.

Skills, qualifications and experience:
- Experience and confidence in using Instagram, Facebook, TikTok.
- Bachelor's degree is an advantage.
- Fluent English essential.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Ability to capture and edit simple, high-quality content on a phone.
- Strong written communication skills, including spelling and grammar.
- Experience writing social media captions or short-form content.
- Understanding of what makes engaging, informal social media content.
- Experience in hospitality, events, or community-facing roles is advantageous.
- Strong local knowledge and network preferred.
