About the Hotel: Great Fosters Hotel is a 5 AA Star Grade 1 listed building set in 50 acres of gardens and parkland in Egham, Surrey. The hotel and adjoining properties offer 56 rooms, award‑winning dining, and a range of meeting and private dining spaces.
The Role: A smart and friendly individual who is skilled at welcoming all arriving and departing guests at the main hotel entrance. You will be the first and last point of contact for guests, contributing significantly to their overall experience. Cover a variety of shifts between 7 am and 11 pm, including weekends.
- Welcome guests on arrival and introduce them to the hotel receptionist using their name.
- Assist arriving and departing guests with luggage.
- Show guests around the hotel before directing them to their rooms.
- Guide guests to the Hotel Reception or to Restaurants/Lounge/Function rooms for non‑resident guests or those attending events.
- Answer guest queries.
- Provide information on hotel facilities to help guests maximise their stay.
- Arrange transportation, such as taxis, trains, car rentals, and theatre tickets, based on guest requests.
- Check arrivals for returning and VIP guests, acknowledging and recognising them.
- Assist the Hotel Receptionist with reception duties.
Requirements:
- Excellent standard of personal appearance.
- Presence as a host at the main entrance.
- Excellent verbal communication – confident yet relaxed and friendly.
- Bright, warm, and friendly disposition.
- Genuine desire to serve guests for business, pleasure or special occasions.
- Ability to work shifts and weekend days as outlined.
- Own transport to enable shift work outside of public transport hours.
