Overview

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa is looking for a Housekeeping Spa Assistant at Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, East Grinstead, West Sussex. The role offers £22,857.12 per year plus monthly service charge, 36 hours per week, 5 days including weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the general cleaning of the spa under the direction of the Head Housekeeper, including changing rooms and toilets; steam room and sauna; poolside; spa reception and relaxation lounge; treatment rooms and corridors; outside terrace and hot tub area.
  • Replenish guest towels and supplies; take dirty laundry to the in-house laundry.
  • Complete the daily cleaning schedule and maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the spa.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the in-house maintenance team promptly.

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, part of Alexander Hotels, a private group of quality hotels of distinction just outside London. 5 Red Star, Award winning Utopia Spa, 57 bedrooms including the new luxury Cedar Lodge development and a 2-bedroom self-contained Gatehouse are available for guests. 2 Award winning restaurants, Reflections Restaurant (2 Rosette x 60 covers), AG’s Restaurant (3 Rosette x 35 covers) together with a range of conference and banqueting and private dining rooms catering for 8 to 95 guests. The award-winning Utopia Spa at Alexander House Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Spa Assistant. The facilities include 21 treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, inside the pool with monsoon showers, hydrotherapy pool, and a private Zen Garden with barrel sauna and outdoor hot tub.

The Role

Under the direction of our experienced Head Housekeeper, you will carry out the general cleaning of the spa including:

  • Changing rooms and toilets
  • Steam room and sauna
  • Poolside
  • Spa reception and relaxation lounge
  • Treatment rooms and corridors
  • Outside terrace and hot tub area

During your shift you will ensure that all guest towels and supplies are replenished, and that dirty laundry is taken to the in-house laundry. You will be responsible for completing the daily cleaning schedule, ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness of the spa is maintained. An energetic worker, you will have a good eye for detail to ensure excellent standards of cleanliness and that any maintenance issues are reported to the in-house maintenance team without delay. Working up to 40 hrs per week over 5 days per week, a mixture of shifts covering 9am – 5.30pm and 1.30pm – 10pm. Weekend shifts are part of your weekly rota.
