PART TIME GARDENER 16 HRS PER WEEK
16 hours per week, flexible days per week
4 weeks holiday rising to 5 weeks with service. 8 Bank holidays. Free car parking.

The Role
A permanent vacancy offering all year-round employment. Working 16 hrs per week.
The prime responsibility of this role is to ensure the hotel's grounds, carparks, gardens and driveways are kept clean, tidy, well-manicured and weed-free.
Duties include:
- Using the petrol lawn mower to keep all lawned areas tidy and presentable.
- Ensure lawn edges are trimmed and well maintained.
- Arrange treatment of the lawns in the spring and autumn.
- Hedge trimming, leaf clearance, border weeding.
- Use the petrol strimmer and hedge cutter to keep shrubs and woodland areas tidy and well managed.
- Do seasonal planting in pots and the borders at the entrance to the hotel's main building.
- Maintain garden furniture and store for winter months.
- Dispose of all garden refuse safely.
- Ensuring gravel driveway is well maintained and raked to ensure presentation for arriving guests.
- Do minor pruning of trees and clear fallen trees. Major works are carried out by our tree surgeon.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are well maintained.
Requirements
- Fitness and stamina required for outside working throughout the year.
- Methodical and well-managed working methods to ensure all priority areas are maintained and well-presented throughout the week.
- Own transport to and from work and to collect odd supplies (mileage paid).
- Must have a courteous and friendly manner as working in guest areas.
