We are seeking an experienced F&B Supervisor to support our Restaurant Manager and Banqueting Manager working across our key food and beverage departments. Supporting private events, weddings, conferences as well as the daily operation of the bar and restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the restaurant is prepared for service.
  • Meeting and greeting guests.
  • Taking guest orders.
  • Delegating tasks to the team.
  • Coaching employees to develop their skills and ensure service standards are met.
  • Serving food and beverage including alcoholic beverages and wines.
  • Completing satisfaction checks and acting on all feedback.
  • Resolving any service issues.
  • Presenting bills to non-resident guests and taking payment.
  • Ensuring the restaurant is reset at the end of the shift ready for lunch service.
  • Ensuring work area is clean and tidy before closing.

Requirements

  • Varying shifts daytimes and evenings 40 hrs, 5 days per week.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Food and beverage service experience ideally within a busy restaurant environment.
  • Wine knowledge would be desirable.
  • Smart appearance, warm personality with good communication skills.
  • You must be a methodical, tidy, and organised worker to ensure service runs smoothly.

Barnett Hill Hotel, part of Alexander Hotels, a private collection of quality hotels of distinction just outside London. Barnett Hill is a beautiful Queen Anne style property, built in 1905, set within 26 acres of gardens and woodlands, near Guildford, Surrey. Since its purchase in 2016 this venue has been transformed into a 4 Star AA Country House Hotel. The Hotel includes 56 boutique rooms, suites and residences, with designer furnishings spread across the main Mansion House, Courtyard and Gardener’s Cottage. Our Oak Room restaurant, 1905 Bar, Library and a range of lounges and private dining rooms provide dining for all tastes. For wedding, corporate and events guests we have private wedding and conference suites. Utopia treatments are available in our designated treatment rooms in the hotel.
