Casual Housekeeping Spa Assistant at The Alexander Hotel Collection. This is a casual role to support our full-time team during busy periods as well as staff holidays/sickness.
Location: Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, East Street, Turners Hill, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH10 4QD.
Salary: Up to £13.68 per hour including holiday pay. Age related pay does apply to this vacancy. In addition, you will receive a monthly service charge payment based on the number of hours you work.
The Place: Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, part of Alexander Hotels – a private collection of quality hotels of distinction just outside London. A Jacobean manor with 120 acres of gardens and parkland. 5 Red Star Hotel, Award winning Utopia Spa, 58 bedrooms, individually designed, including the new luxury Cedar Lodge development and a 2-bedroom self-contained Gatehouse for guests. Two award-winning restaurants, Reflections Restaurant (2 Rosette x 60 covers) and AG’s Restaurant (3 Rosette x 35 covers), plus conference and banqueting spaces.
The Role: Under the direction of our Spa Manager, you will carry out the general cleaning of the spa including:
- Changing rooms and toilets
- Steam room and sauna
- Poolside
- Spa reception and relaxation lounge
- Treatment rooms and corridors
- Outside terrace and hot tub area
During your shift you will ensure that all guest towels and supplies are replenished, and that dirty laundry is taken to the in-house laundry. You will be responsible for completing the daily cleaning schedule, ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness of the spa is maintained. You will be an energetic worker with a good eye for detail to ensure excellent standards of cleanliness and that any maintenance issues are reported to the in-house maintenance team without delay.
Shifts available: 9:00–17:30 and 13:30–22:00, both on weekdays and weekends on a weekly rota.
