Casual Housekeeping Assistant

Langshott Manor Hotel, Ladbroke Road, Horley, Surrey, RH6 9LN. Part of Alexander Hotels, a private group of quality hotels of distinction just outside London.

4 AA Star, award-winning Elizabethan manor house set in 3 acres of stunning grounds with an ancient moat. 22‑bedroom hotel with many charming lounges all with open fires as well as the sumptuous 2‑Rosette Mulberry Restaurant.

Pay

Up to £14.24 per hour including holiday pay; age‑related pay applies. Monthly service charge payment is based on hours worked.

Role Overview

An energetic worker is required, with a good eye for detail to ensure excellent standards of cleanliness in guest bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas of the hotel. A turndown evening service is also offered which ensures that all guest bedrooms are well presented, ready for the guest return in the evening.

Responsibilities

  • Working between 9/9.30 am and 3.30/4 pm
  • Changing bed linen daily in all guest bedrooms
  • Cleaning guest bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas
  • Ensuring all corridors are clean and tidy and any dirty linen is returned to the laundry before the end of the shift
  • Returning to complete evening housekeeping (turndown) duties a few evenings per week if available

  • Methodical in working routines
  • Availability to complete some early evening shifts on a rota basis
