The Place: Barnett Hill Hotel is part of Alexander Hotels, a private collection of quality hotels just outside London. The 4‑star property sits within 26 acres of gardens and woodland and offers a 2‑AA‑rosette restaurant, a 1905 bar, and a modern café. It is located 15 minutes from Guildford town and 45 minutes from Central London.
The Role: Working in our hotel restaurant you will serve food and beverage to residents, conference and event guests as well as local visitors. Service covers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner seven days per week. Friday to Monday are our busier days so there will be more shifts available over these days.
Duties include:
- Preparing the restaurant for service
- Meeting and greeting guests
- Taking guest orders
- Serving food and beverage including alcoholic beverages
- Completing satisfaction checks
- Resolving any service issues
- Presenting bills to guests and taking payment
- Resetting the restaurant at the end of the shift ready for the next service
- Ensuring work area is clean and tidy before departing
Requirements: Smart appearance, excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service, and ideally some experience within food service in a hotel or restaurant.
