Are you an experienced and pro-active HR professional with a passion for supporting people? We are looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate person who wants to progress their career in HR/People Services and be an integral part of a small dynamic team to deliver a comprehensive service across the organisation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. The innovative HR/People Services function provides support services to the wider agency. You will ensure HR practices align with policies and procedures and are in line with current employment legislation and are implemented consistently.

Main duties of the job:

  • This is a generalist role with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, and assisting in data reporting.
  • The successful candidate will play a pivotal role by being the first point of contact for managers on HR related matters.
  • You should be flexible in your approach, have the ability to manage a demanding workload and be able to work autonomously and make decisions within the remit of the role.
  • Following the successful completion of the induction period there is the opportunity for hybrid working.

About us:

This post can be full time (37.5 hours) or part time (tba). The office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) are a registered charity who have been transforming the lives of people affected by drugs and alcohol misuse for over 40 years.

Job responsibilities:

  • To provide operational and administrative support in the delivery of all Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) people policies, procedures and systems.
  • To support the Team Leader in providing professional support to managers across the ADS.

Person Specification:

Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a CIPD level 5 or equivalent. You must be able to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation whilst also having the ability to work collaboratively. You will need to demonstrate adaptability and resilience, thriving in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
