The Open Access and Assessment (OAT) Team plays a vital role in supporting individuals entering treatment services by providing advice, brief interventions, structured key working, guidance and pathways into treatment and recovery services. This role is part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team helping individuals take their first steps toward positive change.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide advice and brief interventions to patients.
  • Deliver structured key working support.
  • Guide individuals into treatment and recovery services.
  • Assess and manage both new and existing service users.
  • Manage a caseload in line with the service user profile.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • One late evening shift until 7:30 pm on a rota basis.
  • Full‑time position (37.5 hours per week).

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: £26,682 – £32,559 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Benefits include: 29 days annual leave (increasing to 31 days after 2 years and 34 days after 5 years of service), public holidays, attractive pension scheme with 6% employer contribution, tailored training and development opportunities through a personalised learning & development plan, and a period of exciting growth and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Qualified and registered Social Worker.
  • Level 3 Tackling Substance Misuse or Health and Social Care.

Experience

  • Experience working with individuals affected by substance misuse is desirable but not essential; keen to develop skills in this field is welcome.
