  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team, the Science Executive Team and other Institute leaders to develop compelling propositions to key funders, sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and close deals strategically to deliver maximum value and impact for the Institute, focusing on a small number of priorities at scale, whilst ensuring there is also room for some quick(er) wins.
  • Lead and shape the team responsible for development and ensure that we have the right capabilities to deliver, together with a high-performance and supportive culture.
  • Ensure all strategic revenue growth opportunities align with our values and comply with Institute policies and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree or equivalent level of professional qualifications and/or experience.

  • Proven ability to negotiate and close complex high-value strategic funding opportunities with long-term benefit to the organisation.
  • Outstanding commercial acumen and experience of managing team budgets effectively.
  • Successful record of widening engagement with diverse sponsors, funders, or commercial clients in target sectors, including demonstrable creativity and strategic skills needed to identify new opportunities, nurture a strong opportunities pipeline and secure revenue at scale.
