This position is working within the Turing Integrated Research Engineering (TIRE) team to support the Turing’s national security partners through developing AI and data science solutions. It will work across a cross-disciplinary team, developing new projects and authoring research proposals. This position will contribute to team research and tool testing, and is expected to lead on multiple technical projects. A large portion of the role is to represent TIRE to internal and external stakeholders as well as supporting the career development of staff within the group.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced Data Scientist with a proven track record of applying AI, machine learning and advanced analytical techniques to complex, real-world challenges. You'll combine deep technical expertise with strong software engineering practices, thrive in collaborative multidisciplinary environments, and confidently engage with senior stakeholders across the Institute and with our partners. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of national security, developing innovative data science and AI capabilities that deliver meaningful impact for the UK. Eligibility for DV security clearance is essential, with current or recent DV clearance highly desirable.

Terms and Conditions

This full-time post is offered on a permanent basis. The annual salary is £82,500 plus an excellent benefits package including private medical insurance, 10% employer pension contribution, flexible hybrid working and family friendly policies.
