Job Title: Engineering Cost Estimator (Aviation) Location: Duxford, Cambridgeshire Salary: Competitive Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview: We are looking for a calm, adaptable and methodical Engineering Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to ensure all aspects of aircraft contracts and MOD servicing schedules are accurately costed, and revised as emergent work is determined. Key Responsibilities: Analysing Ministry of Defence (MOD) aircraft major servicing schedules and contracts to prepare cost estimates based on the information required. Seeking further information or clarification as required. Accurately assess labour, parts, tooling, materials and subcontracted tasks for each project and their associated costs. Coordinating with relevant teams to gather necessary technical data and relevant input for accurate cost projections. Reviewing scope of work, maintenance requests, service bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and manuals to ensure the full scope of work has been captured. Ensuring compliance from a costing perspective with regulatory authorities (MAA, CAA) and internal quality processes.
