Salary: Basic £30,688.85 plus £292 monthly premium
As a Crew Member, you will provide support to specialist neonatal and paediatric clinicians during NCAA transfers, working alongside Pilots and Airdesk Coordinators. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader for NCAA, you will be based at Retford (Gamston) Airport on a full-time basis. You will be the technical expert for the bespoke NCAA interior, stretcher system and incubator, providing support and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Additionally, you will carry out tasks to ensure the aircraft and base are fully operational and ready for tasking.
What We’re Looking For
The role is non‑clinical and does not involve direct patient care, but requires a clinical background to understand the importance of working as a multi‑disciplinary team, working in a clinical setting, handling medical devices, and supporting the safe transfer of patients. Our current team includes members from Emergency Care Assistance, Ambulance Technician, Associate Practitioner, and Paramedic backgrounds.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified as Emergency Ambulance Crew, Emergency Care Assistant, or equivalent.
- Experience of working within healthcare (5+ years).
- Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Ability to work shift patterns, including long days, weekends, bank holidays, and incidental overtime.
- Good physical fitness to facilitate lifting, bending, and carrying during patient transport.
- Knowledge of the National Children’s Air Ambulance, its organisational values, and the services it provides.
