ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Field Supervisor, you will play an integral part as one of the key people carrying out on-the-ground supervision and quality monitoring of our Support Workers, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our Clients. We are looking for someone who is confident, capable and ready for a challenge, with a full driving licence and willingness to travel across the local area to visit packages. You will need to demonstrate proven ability to lead, coach and support field-based staff, carry out spot checks and competency assessments, and work closely with Package Managers and Care Coordinators. You will be responsible for ensuring that all field visits, observations and documentation to assist our client's care and rehabilitation are implemented to a consistently high standard. MAIN DUTIES: * Carry out regular, planned and unannounced field visits/spot checks on Support Workers to monitor quality of care delivery * Complete observation checklists and competency assessments during field visits, including medication competency assessments (MCA's) * Provide on-the-spot coaching, guidance and feedback to Support Workers to maintain best practice * Report findings from field visits to Package Managers and Care Coordinators, escalating any concerns promptly * Support the induction of new Support Workers with shadow shifts and on-site guidance * Assist with Meet & Greets, including introducing new Support Workers to clients and families * Monitor adherence to Care Plans (CP), Risk Assessments (RA), Medication Support Plans (MSP) and Environmental Risk Assessments (ERA) whilst on site * Support with staff team meetings, Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings (MDT) and Package Managers meetings * Complete quarterly supervisions with Support Workers, reviewing personal development in line with company policy * Assist Package Managers with reviews and maintaining statutory paperwork * Regularly participate in the on-call rota, providing emergency cover and shift support where required * Feed back on staffing, training or safeguarding issues identified whilst in the field * Ensure PPE and equipment used on packages is checked and in good order * Maintain accurate, timely field visit records and update the internal system accordingly Additional Duties * Participate in the supervision and appraisal system * Any other additional duties required by management EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES: Staff are responsible for promoting equal opportunities and for challenging any behaviour or practice which discriminates against the client or a colleague on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation or any other difference. As part of the role the post holder will undertake mandatory safeguarding as part of their induction. The post holder will be required to ensure that vulnerable adults and children are safeguarded. The role includes a duty to refer any safeguarding concerns they may have to their line manager.
