The Agency are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner/ Manager to join a well‑established and growing logistics operation based in Leicestershire. This is a hands‑on position, ideal for someone who still enjoys being involved in route planning, fleet coordination, and day‑to‑day transport operations — not just managing from a distance. You'll play a key role in ensuring deliveries run efficiently while contributing ideas to improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and optimising daily delivery routes
  • Managing a fleet of vehicles and driver schedules

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Transport Manager / Transport Planner / Distribution Manager
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) – essential
  • Strong experience in route planning and fleet management
  • Knowledge of transport compliance and driver regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills

Desirable

  • Experience within multi‑drop distribution
  • Experience managing drivers and small teams
  • Background in fast‑paced logistics environments

Package

  • Salary up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
