The Agency are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner/ Manager to join a well-established and growing logistics operation based in Leicestershire. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who still enjoys being involved in route planning, fleet coordination, and day-to-day transport operations — not just managing from a distance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring deliveries run efficiently while contributing ideas to improve overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and optimising daily delivery routes
- Managing a fleet of vehicles and driver schedules
- Overseeing transport compliance and driver hours
- Liaising with warehouse and internal teams
- Monitoring KPIs and delivery performance
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Supporting the day-to-day running of transport operations
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Transport Manager / Transport Planner / Distribution Manager
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) – essential
- Strong experience in route planning and fleet management
- Knowledge of transport compliance and driver regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Experience within multi-drop distribution
- Experience managing drivers and small teams
- Background in fast-paced logistics environments
Package
- Salary up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
