Looking to take your first big step into Quantity Surveying? We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a busy team, based in Loughborough where you'll get hands-on experience, real responsibility, and plenty of support as you learn the ropes. You'll work closely with project and commercial managers, helping to keep projects running smoothly from a commercial point of view. From cost tracking and forecasting to valuations and invoicing, you'll be involved in the day-to-day commercial side of live infrastructure projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting project and contract managers with commercial and financial tasks
- Keeping cost, forecast, and project data up to date using spreadsheets
- Assisting with valuations, variations, and monthly applications
- Helping produce accurate cost reports and sales forecasts
- Monitoring job costs and flagging any issues
- Maintaining cost value reconciliations and basic P&L information
- Supporting final accounts and attending meetings as required
- Working with internal teams, clients, and consultants
- Occasionally supporting surveying duties on site
What we're looking for:
- Studying towards, or holding, a Quantity Surveying (or related) qualification
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with numbers
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- An understanding of construction processes
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
- A driving licence and CSCS card would be a bonus but not essential
