Job Description
Are you a commercially savvy Finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment?\\nSomeone who loves the detail just as much as the big picture?\\nReady to play a critical part in a company on a mission that genuinely makes a difference?\\n\\nWe’re partnering exclusively with a specialist manufacturing business on the hunt for an experienced Head of Finance to lead their function through an exciting phase of growth and transformation. This isn’t your typical finance job – it’s a hands-on, all-encompassing role in a company that delivers through cutting-edge technology.\\n\\nYour decisions? They won’t just affect spreadsheets – they’ll contribute to people’s lives.\\n\\nWhat’s the job?\\n\\nYou’ll be the financial backbone of the business.
That means owning everything from financial strategy, reporting and compliance to cost control, forecasting and investment planning. You’ll work closely with ops, procurement and supply chain to make sure the numbers drive the right outcomes across the board.\\n\\nWe’re talking full visibility and influence across the business – you'll sit on the senior leadership team and be a key voice in shaping future direction.\\n\\nOh, and yes, you’ll lead a small but mighty finance team, so leadership experience is a must – but this is still a very hands-on role. We need someone who can do as much as they can delegate.\\n\\nWhat you'll be getting stuck into:\\n\\n * Full ownership of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and reporting\\n\\n * Driving operational performance through smart financial analysis and commercial insight\\n\\n * Managing manufacturing costs, inventory, and capital investments – making sure every penny counts\\n\\n * Leading a lean finance team and embedding best practice across the function\\n\\n * Partnering closely with production, engineering, and procurement to improve margins and streamline processes\\n\\n * Acting as the key point of contact for external stakeholders – auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies\\n\\nWhat we’re looking for:\\n\\n * Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)\\n\\n * Strong experience in manufacturing finance – this is essential\\n\\n * Proven expertise in cost accounting, budgeting, inventory management, and financial control\\n\\n * A sharp commercial mind – you get how finance impacts operations, and vice versa\\n\\n * Comfortable in a finance business partnering role – supporting decision-making beyond the numbers\\n\\n * A natural leader who’s not afraid to roll their sleeves up\\n\\nWhat kind of person are you?\\n\\nYou’re someone who wants to grow with a business – not just work in one.
You’ve got drive, accountability, and a real appetite to make a difference. You’re proactive, collaborative, and not afraid to challenge or be challenged. You bring clarity to complexity, thrive under pressure, and know how to get people pulling in the same direction.\\n\\nWhat's in it for you?\\n\\nThis is a brilliant opportunity to take the lead finance role in an inclusive, values-driven, people-first business.
You'll have autonomy, flexibility, a fantastic team around you – and most importantly, you’ll be doing work that matters.\\n\\nSound like your kind of challenge? Get in touch – we’d love to tell you more
