Overview
Affinity is looking for a promising new marketer to join our team of digital development and delivery specialists, as a Marketing Apprentice.
Affinity is a digital agency. We are a small Cornish company with a team of around 30 people. A third of us live and work in Cornwall, but the rest of the team live in other parts of the UK. We design, develop, support and improve digital services for clients across public and private sectors, including The Timpson Group, Education Scotland, NHS Scotland, the Cabinet Office and the National Crime Agency. These services can include public websites, apps, and back-end or line-of-business software.
What you will work on
The Marketing Apprentice will work with the CEO, COO and other colleagues involved in our marketing and sales activities. You’ll be supported by our Delivery Support and Technical Team Leaders, who will provide you with information to market and promote our business. You will help strengthen and implement our integrated marketing mix, create communications that support our organisational objectives and enhance customer engagement, and deliver campaigns across digital and traditional channels (including search, social media, email, content marketing, exhibitions and events). Over time you will be involved in the planning, execution and measurement of results across these channels, and may assist with customer service tasks that support our marketing strategies. We will tailor projects to align with your apprenticeship learning, helping you build repeatable routines and processes and become more responsible and self-sufficient as you progress.
Where you will work
Most work is done remotely from home, with a base in Truro and other locations across the county used for in-person collaboration. You should be comfortable working remotely for a significant part of your week and be reliable, self-motivated and professional when remote. You will work with teams via video, voice and messaging tools. We will provide you with a laptop and other required equipment. Some days will involve working in a shared space; travel to local meeting locations is normal. Generally, travel expenses are not covered, unless a longer journey to a special location is required.
