The Opportunity: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our busy Personal Tax team in Wimborne. This is a chance to become an integral part of a team where you’ll work across a large and varied client base, providing both tax compliance and advisory services. You’ll be at the heart of our client relationships, helping individuals navigate their personal taxes whilst providing a 5 star service.

Your Impact:

  • Own your client portfolio: Prepare a diverse range of personal tax returns for a varied client base, including individuals, HNWI, sole traders and landlords. You will work towards building and managing your own portfolio.
  • Provide expert advice: Get hands-on by assisting clients with tailored advice across key areas like buy-to-let properties, foreign income, residency, and Capital Gains Tax.
  • Be a trusted advisor: Serve as a key point of contact for clients and HMRC, leading tax enquiries and queries.
  • Master compliance: The core focus of this role is the accurate preparation of Self Assessment Tax Returns.

Who We’re Looking For:

Required: You should have at least two years of experience in an accountancy practice with exposure to personal tax. Solid working knowledge of UK personal tax compliance – Self Assessment Tax Returns. Able to think commercially. Always looking to go above and beyond to Put Clients First. Proficiency with tax software (preferably IRIS) and Microsoft Office is essential. We are seeking someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive attitude who is eager to grow.
