This is a newly shaped role within a growing drinks business, created to accelerate performance across Cash & Carry, Wholesale and wider Off Trade sub-channels. While the business is well established in Grocery, there is a clear opportunity to significantly increase penetration and visibility across wholesale routes to market — and this role will lead that charge.
Reporting into the Head of Off Trade, you’ll combine new business development, strategic wholesaler partnerships and hands-on execution, while also supporting selected Grocery accounts where required.
The Role
- Own and deliver the Cash & Carry and Wholesale strategy, targeting improved distribution, rate of sale and brand visibility across the UK.
- Build strong relationships with regional and national wholesalers, depot managers and buying teams.
- Lead customer planning, pricing, promotional activity and range execution within wholesale accounts.
- Support the National Account Controller on key Grocery customers where required, ensuring alignment of strategy and activation.
- Work closely with Marketing to deliver effective in-depot activity, promotions and point-of-sale.
- Track market trends, competitor activity and customer performance to inform future growth plans.
- Prepare accurate forecasts, sales reports and commercial updates for senior stakeholders.
About You
- Proven sales experience within Drinks, ideally Beer.
- Strong working knowledge of the UK Cash & Carry / Wholesale landscape.
- A commercially minded operator with a track record of winning new business.
- Confident managing customer relationships end-to-end, from negotiation through to execution.
- Self-starter mindset — comfortable working autonomously with national responsibility.
- Highly organised, analytical and able to prioritise in a fast-moving environment.
- Passionate about beer and the wider drinks industry.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility for nationwide travel.
