Location: North West (Hybrid UK-wide considered / 3 days onsite p/w)

A fast-growing, multi-site food manufacturer is seeking a driven and ambitious individual to join their infrastructure team at a time of exciting transformation and growth.
The Company
This organisation is one of Europe s most dynamic consumer goods groups, home to a collection of well-known heritage brands across the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe. With a portfolio spanning biscuits, snacks, condiments, and confectionery, their footprint includes over 15 UK sites and several international locations.
The business is currently undergoing a major IT transformation, unifying multiple local functions into a single, strategic IT structure, and you ll play a central role in this transition.
The Role
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you ll be a key contributor to the company s cloud-first strategy, supporting the migration from traditional on-premise infrastructure into Azure, while also leading robust disaster recovery and backup processes.
You ll work across multiple sites and systems, bridging legacy tech with modern cloud platforms. This is a hands-on role with real scope to shape the future of IT infrastructure across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Azure data centre migrations, ensuring scalability and security
- Maintain and optimise on-premise infrastructure (VMware/vSphere, Windows Server, physical data centres)
- Deliver resilient disaster recovery and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik)
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams across UK and EU sites
- Support network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, routing, Cisco) as required
- Travel to manufacturing and office locations (e.g. North West, East of England, Ireland) on occasion
What We re Looking For
- Proven experience in Azure migration and cloud services
- Strong technical background in VMware, Windows Server, and traditional infrastructure
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery technologies
- Comfortable with network fundamentals, such as routing, switching, Cisco
- Hands-on, proactive attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Based in the North West preferably, however UK-wide applicants will be considered
- Willing to travel on occasion to other locations across the UK.
