This is a genuinely hands-on HR role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the operation and can step into a busy environment and make an impact from day one. The initial requirement is for around three months. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day HR support across the site, acting as the main point of contact for employees and managers and ensuring the site has consistent, professional HR support throughout the assignment.

The Role

  • Working closely with the site and wider HR team, you’ll provide practical support across a broad range of HR activity, including:
  • Acting as the main HR point of contact for the site
  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to employees and managers
  • Managing and supporting a range of employee relations matters
  • Supporting contractual changes and queries
  • Handling HR administration and employee queries
  • Supporting payroll-related queries and issues
  • Assisting with training sessions and other people-related activity
  • Supporting managers with HR processes and providing practical guidance
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Managing competing priorities and responding to issues as they arise
  • Ensuring a consistent and professional HR service across the site

About You

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is comfortable operating with a good level of independence. You’ll be:

  • Experienced across a broad range of generalist HR activity
  • Confident dealing with employee relations issues
  • Comfortable working independently and using your own judgement
  • Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills
  • Professional and approachable in your communication style
  • Comfortable working in a busy, operational environment
  • Practical and hands-on rather than purely process-driven
  • Able to build strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels

If you’re an experienced HR professional who can step into a busy site environment and provide immediate, practical support, we’d love to hear from you.
