Podkováň Brewery has been brewing traditional Czech lager in the heart of Bohemia for over 600 years. As we continue to grow our UK business, we're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven, and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help expand our presence across the UK hospitality and drinks sectors.

This is a hands-on role that combines new business generation, account management, and strategic growth. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and driving sales across our portfolio. Working closely with our UK team, you'll play a key role in increasing brand awareness, securing new listings, and growing revenue.

The Role:

  • Identifying, targeting, and securing new business opportunities across pubs, bars, restaurants, wholesalers, and other on-trade and off-trade channels
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive sales growth and long-term partnerships
  • Managing and developing a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and account performance
  • Creating and delivering compelling sales presentations, proposals, and commercial agreements
  • Negotiating pricing, promotional activity, and supply arrangements with customers
  • Working closely with customers to maximise distribution, visibility, and sales of the Podkováň Brewery portfolio
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, opportunities, and sales activity within the BREWW CRM system
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Representing Podkováň Brewery at trade shows, industry events, product launches, and customer meetings
  • Preparing sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports for management
  • Delivering against agreed sales targets, KPIs, and business growth objectives

About You:

  • Minimum two years' experience within business development, field sales, account management, or a similar commercial role
  • Proven track record of winning new business and consistently achieving sales targets
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience within the drinks, FMCG, hospitality, or wholesale sectors would be advantageous
  • Commercially aware with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable managing your own territory and sales pipeline
  • Experience using CRM or sales management systems, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate records
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
