The ADHD Centre is a specialist independent service providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Conditions in both adults and children. We are committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-centred care through multidisciplinary expertise and flexible service delivery. Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to join our expanding clinical team across London and Manchester, with opportunities for both in-person and remote working.
We are looking for motivated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrists with expertise in neuro-developmental conditions to undertake comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing treatment for patients presenting with ADHD and/or Autism. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to work within a highly specialist neurodiversity service.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive ADHD and Autism assessments for adults and/or children
- Diagnose neuro-developmental conditions in line with DSM-5 / ICD-11 criteria
- Develop treatment plans and provide medication management where appropriate following NICE and BNF Guidelines
- Carry out follow-up reviews and ongoing psychiatric care
- Produce clear, high-quality clinical reports and documentation
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures and governance structures
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinicians including psychologists and therapists
- Maintain high clinical standards and compliance with relevant professional guidelines
- Deliver services either remotely, face-to-face, or through a hybrid model
- Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Psychiatry
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience working within neurodevelopmental / neurodiversity services
- Demonstrable experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating ADHD and/or Autism in adults and/or children
- Experience prescribing and monitoring ADHD medication
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage clinical caseloads effectively
- Strong understanding of NICE and BNF guidelines relating to ADHD and Autism
- Experience working in private or independent healthcare settings
- Dual experience with both adult and CAMHS populations
- ADOS-2 and/or other autism assessment tool experience
- Experience providing remote psychiatric assessments
- Section 12 approval (desirable but not essential)
