The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
UAT Test Manager & Test Environment Release Lead to join a major business and technology transformation programme within the financial services sector.
This is a dual-purpose role combining ownership of
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across a complex Risk portfolio, alongside responsibility for coordinating programme-wide test environments, test data and release readiness activities .
The successful candidate will work across multiple projects, applications and releases, ensuring testing activities are effectively planned, governed, executed and signed off while maintaining visibility and control of environments, deployments and testing dependencies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior testing professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience operating within highly regulated, large-scale change programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- UAT Test Management
- Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination and governance of UAT activities across a complex Risk and Management portfolio.
- Define and maintain integrated UAT plans covering multiple projects and releases.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and SMEs to confirm testing scope, business scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate UAT readiness activities including environments, test data, user access and test execution preparation.
- Manage UAT execution, progress tracking and reporting.
- Facilitate defect triage and resolution activities across business, development, QA and vendor teams.
- Define and manage UAT entry and exit criteria.
- Ensure testing evidence, traceability and sign-off requirements are maintained.
- Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Produce regular reporting on test progress, readiness, defects and overall delivery status.
- Maintain a consolidated programme view of test environments, application dependencies and data requirements.
- Coordinate environment provisioning, refreshes, resets and readiness activities.
- Track environment availability against programme milestones and testing schedules.
- Identify and resolve environment scheduling conflicts across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate test data provisioning, refreshes and support activities.
- Escalate environment-related risks and constraints that may impact delivery timelines.
- Maintain forward planning for upcoming environment and testing requirements.
- Release & Deployment Coordination
- Coordinate application releases and deployments required to support planned testing activities.
- Maintain visibility of release schedules and deployment dependencies.
- Work closely with technical delivery and release management teams to ensure testing readiness.
- Support release governance and readiness reviews.
- Provide reporting on deployment status and testing impact assessments.
- Governance & Reporting
- Support programme-level test governance and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain programme risks, issues and dependencies.
- Provide clear and concise updates to senior stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional planning activities across business and technology teams.
- Ensure adherence to testing standards, governance frameworks and quality controls.
- Required Experience
- Proven experience as a
UAT Test Manager, Test Manager or Senior Test Lead within Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong experience managing UAT across multiple projects, applications and releases.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full testing lifecycle including planning, execution, defect management and sign-off.
- Experience working within large-scale transformation or regulatory programmes.
- Strong test environment and test data coordination experience.
- Experience working with Release Management and Environment Management functions.
