Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Our client South Yorkshire Police is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Lead (Reporting) to join their dynamic Information Services team! This is your chance to make a significant impact while supporting the implementation of a new Reporting Management System (RMS).
Role Purpose: As the Technical Lead, you'll provide essential technical and functional skills to ensure top‑notch reporting solutions. You will serve as a subject‑matter expert, championing a standard reporting delivery model that includes development, documentation, and training.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate closely with the IS Team/Data Services Manager to design and implement business intelligence reporting using OBIEE and Microsoft Power BI.
- Utilise your SQL/PLSQL & TSQL expertise to develop robust data solutions.
- Act as a key resource, delivering timely and accurate information to functional users.
- Assess report requests for justification and work with stakeholders to find efficient alternatives.
- Apply your experience to resolve reporting problems and enhance processes.
- Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends and support strategic business decisions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices in Business Intelligence and Reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with a solid background in SQL and Business Intelligence tools. Experience of NICHE would be preferable and also working within a Policing background.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of the Microsoft BI stack, data warehouse design, and ETL processes.
- Abilities: Excellent organisational skills, effective communication with stakeholders, and a knack for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Values: A commitment to equality and diversity, along with a desire to work in a challenging and innovative environment.
Due to Police Vetting Criteria you must have resided within the UK continuously for at least 5 years at the time of application.
