This role offers the chance to work within a modern, fast-paced production environment, maintaining and optimising advanced back-end manufacturing equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency and performance of production machinery. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities, minimise downtime, and support ongoing operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Maintaining and optimising back-end production machinery. Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults efficiently. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities. Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives. Ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards. Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise plant performance. Identifying opportunities to improve machinery efficiency and reduce downtime. About You The successful candidate will be a proactive, hands-on engineer with strong mechanical fault-finding skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. Requirements: Level 3 Mechanical Apprenticeship, NVQ or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Previous experience working with production machinery and manufacturing equipment. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. A proactive approach to maintenance and equipment reliability. Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
