Project Controller (Temporary)
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated EN-Project Controller to join their dynamic team for a 6-month temporary contract.
This exciting opportunity offers a daily rate of £175 and requires full-time commitment.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial execution of service projects within the Renewable Energy sector.
About the Role
As a Project Controller, the individual will be responsible for
- Maintaining the project lifecycle in SAP, from order booking to closure.
- Conducting forecasting, budgeting, and monthly variance analysis of cost centres.
- Preparing invoices and managing customer billing, with an active focus on cash-in follow-up.
- Monitoring accounts receivable and resolving any billing or payment issues with stakeholders.
- Supporting Commercial Project Managers through commercial reporting and analysis.
- Handling various commercial topics, including internal charging and personnel hiring-out.
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and supporting audits and internal controls through accurate documentation.
This is a hands-on execution role that demands precision, timeliness, reliability, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
To excel in this position, candidates should possess
- A minimum part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in commercial controlling or project finance, preferably in an industrial or energy environment.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at various organisational levels.
- A working knowledge of IFRS basics, project/order accounting, and revenue recognition.
- A strategic, results-driven mindset, capable of challenging the status quo and driving continuous performance improvements.
- A self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative approach, with a keen interest in digitalization.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) and SAP, with the ability to leverage digital tools effectively.
