Key Responsibilities

As an Investigator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in various investigations, which may include:

  • Developing lines of enquiry and gathering compelling evidence.
  • Assisting the case team in exercising powers under the Criminal Justice Act 1987.
  • Managing multiple investigations simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Participating in searches of business and residential premises in collaboration with law enforcement.
  • Reviewing substantial amounts of material to identify relevant information.
  • Leading the analysis of financial data to uncover critical evidence.
  • Planning and conducting interviews with victims, witnesses, and suspects to obtain essential statements.
  • Actively contributing to case conferences to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Supporting the disclosure process in compliance with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (1996).
  • Assisting with victim and witness management in line with established codes of practise.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in drafting clear and precise witness statements or reports.
  • Proficiency in gathering, analysing, and evaluating information from diverse sources.
  • Experience in formally interviewing witnesses.
  • Familiarity with information and operational security.

Desirable Experience

  • Background in financial investigation and criminal investigation work.
