Join North Surrey Police Force as an Investigating Officer! Are you an experienced Criminal Investigator ready to make a difference? Our client, Surrey Police, is seeking dedicated professionals to join their team as Investigating Officers in North Surrey, based at Staines Police Station.

Contract Details:

  • Position: Investigating Officer
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Working Pattern: Full Time (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM)
  • Salary: £17.70 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As an Investigating Officer, you will play a crucial role in the investigation process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough enquiries, including statement taking and exhibit handling.
  • Interviewing witnesses and suspects using effective techniques to gather vital information.
  • Preparing court files and managing case files to ensure an accurate audit trail.
  • Completing risk assessments and developing victim support plans to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to gather evidence and turn material into actionable intelligence.
  • Attending court as the Officer in Charge (OIC) for PIP 1 investigations.
  • Managing safeguarding concerns related to vulnerable individuals.

  • A working knowledge of criminal law and the criminal justice system.

  • A full and valid driving licence.
