About the role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Recruitment Quality Controller to support a major Armed Forces recruitment programme.
In this role, you’ll report to the Op Ex Lead and ensure our volume recruitment process meets quality standards as a final check to support candidates into careers within the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force.
This role is about more than just checking boxes; it’s a framework to ensure that every recruitment step is carried out accurately and reliably.
Whether it's verifying documents, cross-referencing information, or leveraging advanced technologies, maintaining high standards is non-negotiable.
This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility position where accuracy, risk awareness, and strong judgement are essential.
- What you’ll be doing
- Apply best practice and standardised procedures as a playbook, ensuring every candidate undergoes the same thorough process.
- Ensure we on board genuinely qualified individuals who share the clients’ values.
- Stay current with legal requirements and industry standards (if regulation shifts, our procedures should, too) to minimise risk and maximise compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular audits to help identify weaknesses in the recruitment process then manage feedback loops to enable improvement.
- Document verification checks, every step should be documented meticulously to help train new starters and maintain protocol.
- Regulatory compliance.
- Apply quality control mechanisms (double checking protocols, cross referencing information from multiple sources to safeguard against mistakes).
- Compliance to Legal and Ethics standards, respecting candidate privacy, confidentiality and data considerations.
- Contribute to / implement robust systems for ongoing monitoring and evaluation (routine audits, periodic reviews, automated alerts for inconsistency) and use data to continuously fine tune the process.
- Champion the use of AI for monitoring tools and audit mechanisms to minimise human error and ensure accuracy.
About you
- Strong communicator who can work collaboratively and elevate issues effectively.
- Experience in HR or Recruitment compliance or risk management.
- Experience handling sensitive/confidential data.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Background in or connection with or to the Armed Forces (advantageous)

Contracted hours will be 37.5 a week but requires flexibility to undertake occasional weekend work.
This role will be offered on a fixed term contract basis initially.
