The Adam Practice is recruiting for 2 permanent salaried GP posts: post 1 is 5/6 sessions a week to include all-day Tuesday and Friday and Thursday morning at Lifeboat Quay Surgery; post 2 is 4 sessions a week to include all-day Tuesday and Thursday at Hamworthy Surgery. We are also recruiting for 1 fixed-term salaried GP post for 4 sessions to include all-day Friday based at Hamworthy Surgery until the end of December 2026. Main Duties of the Job
We have extensive involvement in training and education, including overseas and elective students, and supporting the development of our own staff. We welcome applications from candidates who might bring any further new opportunities our way.

We combine efficiencies of scale with localised continuity and high-quality care on individual surgery sites, using a total triage appointment system to ensure acute patients are seen in a timely manner. We have nearly 40 years of experience as a large multi-site practice, providing a secure and stable environment to work in.
Job Responsibilities
To manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Carry out all duties in a professional manner and adhere to all Adam Practice protocols, policies and guidelines at all times.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Essential: Fully qualified GP with GMC registration, General Practice trained, On Medical Performers List, Current CPR certificate, Medical Defence Union cover, Evidence of CPD
- Desirable: GPwSI or other specialist interest qualification
Experience
- Essential: Chronic disease management, Primary prevention and screening services, Clinical governance, Delivery of QoF targets, Self-audit, Worked in NHS / Primary Care / General Practice
- Desirable: Knowledge of SystmOne clinical system
Other
- Essential: Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially, Flexible approach and willingness to adjust to the reasonable needs of the practice
- Desirable: Driving licence
