A well-established UK pensions consultancy is seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to join its Glasgow-based actuarial team, supporting a diverse portfolio of UK DB pension schemes. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Scheme Actuary who enjoys combining client leadership, business development and people management, while continuing to deliver high-quality actuarial advice in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and strategically manage key DB pension scheme client relationships
- Oversee delivery of actuarial advice, implementation of recommendations and fee agreements
- Drive business development by contributing to business planning, expanding client portfolios and identifying new opportunities
- Play a central role in people management, including setting objectives, supporting development, and contributing to recruitment and retention
- Act as a senior ambassador for the business within the wider pensions market
Qualifications
- Experienced UK pensions actuary with deep knowledge of the DB market
- Holder of a Scheme Actuary Practising Certificate (IFoA) (preferable)
- Strong understanding of the current pensions and consulting landscape
- Proven experience managing and developing people
- Commercial mindset with the ability to grow and sustain long-term client relationships
