Senior Pricing Actuary

We’re supporting a leading pensions-focused organisation with a strong social purpose in their search for a Senior Pricing Actuary. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of actuarial innovation, transaction execution and regulatory engagement, offering broad exposure across the business and a clear progression path.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the transaction pricing workstream for new business opportunities
• Ensure pricing is robust and aligned with internal frameworks and governance
• Present pricing strategy and reports to senior stakeholders
• Prepare actuarial and investment-related submissions for trustees and regulators
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Legal, Investments and Operations
• Support the development and maintenance of actuarial models
• Provide handover support from pricing to BAU actuarial reporting
• Contribute to broader actuarial activities including in-force management, product development and regulatory reporting

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent), with at least 3 years’ PQE in pensions or BPA
• Strong technical and modelling skills; proficient in MS Office
• Knowledge of UK defined benefit pension schemes and their regulatory context
• Understanding of investment concepts such as LDI and CDI
• Confident communicator with experience preparing high-quality reports and submissions
• Comfortable managing complexity and working with a wide range of stakeholders
• Experience with pricing for pension risk transfer or knowledge of PFaroe is a plus
