Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated LatinTeacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience. This would be for an after school club to teach Latin, at a primary school based in London, Poplar E14. Day & Time TBC

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through regular testing, assignments, and feedback, providing constructive guidance for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to share resources, strategies, and best practices for teaching.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students from various backgrounds.
  • Experience in classroom management and fostering a positive learning environment is highly desirable.
