Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals to achieve their personal best. This role requires a commitment to developing athletes\’ skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This will be for an afterschool Judo club based in London SW9.

Duties

  • Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual athletes and teams.
  • Conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring that all participants are engaged and learning effectively.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to athletes, helping them improve their performance and skills.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and sportsmanship among participants.
  • Monitor the progress of athletes, setting achievable goals and celebrating their successes.
  • Organise competitive events, including matches and tournaments, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coaching techniques, rules of the sport, and safety regulations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in sports coaching, with a strong understanding of various training methodologies.
  • Excellent teaching skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all ages and abilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities, capable of motivating others and fostering a sense of community within the team.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A passion for sports and physical fitness, demonstrating enthusiasm that inspires others.
