Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with students of various ages and backgrounds, providing tailored support in their learning journey. The Tutor will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment and enhancing students\’ understanding of the subject matter. This would be on a Tuesday 3:15pm – 4:15pm at a primary school in Goldaming, GU7.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Assist students with homework, exam preparation, and study skills development.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student achievements.
Experience
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education practices is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
