Assistant Site Officer
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week (worked in a three-week shift rotation), 39 weeks per year (term-time, plus 5 staff training days)
Salary (FTE): ALT Grade D – £25,386 to £25,989
Actual Salary: ALT Grade D – £21,738.42 to £22,254.78

About the Role
You will contribute to the maintenance, cleanliness and security of Academy buildings and undertake porterage and general caretaking duties as required and directed by the Facilities Manager.
It is a requirement of the role that the successful applicant completes MiDAS training (arranged via Cromwell) to operate as one of the Academy Minibus Drivers. This may involve alterations to shift patterns to be available for school trips and pre- and post-school pick-ups and drop-offs, to be agreed on a case-by-case basis.
Working Pattern
37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time, plus 5 staff training days)
Hours are worked in a three week shift rotational pattern:
- Week 1 Monday to Thursday from 06 00, Friday from 06 30
- Week 2 Monday to Thursday from 08 30, Friday from 08 30
- Week 3 Monday to Thursday from 10 00, Friday from 11 00
- All shift patterns include one hour lunch
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge of DIY and general maintenance skills, as well as confidence using computers and a variety of computer-based systems would be beneficial, however, we welcome applications for this post with or without general maintenance and DIY experience as full on-the-job training will be provided. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent teamwork, organisation and attention to detail. They will need to have a friendly, flexible hands on approach and the ability to relate confidently and appropriately with all users of the Academy, staff, pupils, parents and visitors.
