Salary: Unqualified - £25,623.07-£26,151.80 per annum pro rata. Qualified - £26,151.80-£26,619.52 per annum pro rata. Casual rate £12.60 per hour. Sleepover rate £100.80 per night (if applicable).
Hours: Part-Time Weekends
Note: This position involves weekend working; mandatory training will take place on weekdays before the role commences. Candidates on restricted visas may be offered a maximum of 15 hours per week. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.

Main Purpose: The main purpose of this post is to provide a caring, efficient and effective 24/7 support service to people who use The Action Group’s services. This includes supervising and participating in support activities to enrich opportunities and promote choice.
Specific Duties:
- Practice the TAG Key Worker system, including organising support plans/case reviews with relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective handovers between staff, and maintaining records and case files.
- Promote physical and emotional wellbeing, support self-care, and carry out risk assessments.
- Develop meaningful and trusting relationships with the people we support.
- Encourage independence in daily living activities and provide help when necessary (e.g., housework, food preparation, household admin).
- Promote hobbies, interests and community participation; for transitions services may include day trips and accompanying to activities.
- Directly assist with personal care when required.
- Support effective communication and promote self-advocacy.
- Advocate on behalf of the people we support (e.g., benefits, education, tenancy, employment).
- Engage with relatives and carers to involve them in the person’s life when appropriate.
- Identify local services and supports available to people we support.
- Work with individuals and groups as needed; participate in flexible shift patterns (including evenings and weekends).
- Undertake regular sleepover or waking night duties when required.
- May cover short-term absences in other teams as needed.
General Duties:
- Read and work in accordance with TAG’s Mission, Aims & Objectives, and current Business Plan.
- Manage own work time and keep paperwork up to date.
- Communicate courteously and clearly; maintain confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with TAG policies and procedures.
- Respect individual rights and responsibilities at all times.
- Support CPD and maintain Investors In People standards.
- Manage work-life balance, including taking annual leave appropriately.

Registration: This post requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). If not registered on start, 6 months to register; those already registered must inform the SSSC of employment with The Action Group.
PVG clearance required; those not in PVG should be prepared to join before starting.
