Role Details
- Team: Data Protection
- Location: Liverpool (Hybrid working)
- Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
What you will be doing
- Assist the team in providing considered and practical advice to the business on data protection matters
- Be responsible for responding to data subject rights and erasure requests
- Ensure documentation and records are kept up to date including identifying trends and analysis
- Assist business change projects to ensure privacy by design and data protection risks are considered
- Assist with compliance monitoring reviews to monitor operational compliance with data protection law
- Assist with the development of existing policy documentation and related practical guidance
- Keep up to date with the latest changes in applicable legislation, industry news and guidance
- Support and participate in working groups to provide ongoing support across the organisation
- Support the training and awareness of data protection practices and principles
- Any other task as may be defined by the DPO to meet the operational needs of the Data Protection team
- Providing valuable contribution to meeting the Data Protection Team goals and compliance with existing data protection related policies
What we’re looking for
- An understanding of GDPR regulation and data protection principles (additional training will be provided)
- Practical experience in developing and implementing business processes and procedures
- The ability to apply a range of research techniques to gather relevant information
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer‑facing experience
- Drive and determination to complete work to a high standard
- Plan, organise and manage time effectively
- IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office and additional applications
