A well established accounting firm is actively looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. They are a boutique tax, accounting, and business advisory firm with a long-established history of servicing generations of businesses and individuals.

Key responsibilities but not solely limited to:

- Manage a portfolio of clients (primarily SME’s with t/o up to £5m) and assist in preparing year end accounts and tax returns in a timely manner

- Produce management accounts and advise on company performance for clients

- Coordinate work with outsourcing providers and training and managing junior staff

- Solid experience of accounting software such as Iris, Xero, Dext, Quickbooks and Sage

- Liaising with HMRC when required

- Ad-hoc company secretarial work for clients

- Ad-hoc consultancy projects such as due diligence exercises or company valuations

Key skills:

- ACCA/ACA qualified

- a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in practice

- Experience in managing client portfolio and turnaround time in-house

- Ability to work under pressure and attention to details

- Previous experience in preparing self-assessment tax returns will be highly desirable

Salary: up to £48,000 DOE - however can be slightly flexible for the right candidate.
