A commercially focused, ambitious qualified accountant looking for something rewarding and interesting in a rapid growth PE backed business operating within a ‘green space’. This group delivers exciting international growth within a sector that makes a genuine positive environmental impact, allowing you to make a real difference.
Your role sits outside of central finance, enabling you to focus on added value rather than core month end reporting or financial control. You’ll be a key business partner to the divisional board and wider leadership team, providing insight, MI and key commentary to inform strategic decision making. It’s a role that impacts decisions and direction, offering a chance to influence growth.
It’s hands-on and involves drilling into the data to get a clear view of the drivers of revenue and profit. You will analyse the financials surrounding projects and understand what can impact new business, price models, forecasts, and cost variances. The role is fully fledged senior level business partnering, truly business facing and value adding.
This position suits someone driven and commercially aware, thriving in an autonomous role where they can delve into the numbers. You should be able to confidently communicate with colleagues across the business and projects to understand the MI and board pack.
This modern, successful group has an outstanding brand in their sector, delivering impressive results and investing in future success. This is a rare senior business partnering remit with clear scope to progress and involvement in tactical and strategic decision discussions from week one.
You will need:
- A clear demonstrable track record of success in a role as senior FBP or commercial FM.
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification with solid grounding in financial reporting and control.
- Outstanding commercial awareness and interest in the drivers of success and failure within an aspirational business.
- Ability to build excellent working relationships with colleagues across the business, acting as a bridge between finance and non-finance areas.
- Experience in professional services where utilisation is a key metric would be very useful.
- Natural proactivity, with the ability to work autonomously while being a team player, as you will be in the office 1 or 2 days per week and often communicating via online video calls.
This is an epic role if you love commercially-focused business partnering and see yourself as a commercial FD of the future.
