A rewarding and business-facing assignment for a finance professional who enjoys the cut and thrust of fast paced manufacturing (FMCG). You will effectively be the day-to-day number one in finance for a modern and growing manufacturing site. The nuts and bolts of month end / balance sheet accounting etc is centralised - your role is focused on proactive business partnering and P&L influence.

You are that vital bridge between finance and the GM / operational leadership team across the production facility. This is a £50m+ turnover business with lots going on and plenty of moving parts. You’ll be someone who prides themselves on the ability to get out into a manufacturing facility and swiftly build relationships. You’ll have lots of experience of understanding the levers of success, cost, margin and profit in a large and modern factory setting.

You’ll be a natural communicator - an accountant who understands that it is vital to bring the numbers to life by connecting with the operational / commercial teams and working together to get to the root of opportunities / problems / projects.

You will be:

  • An interim finance professional with extensive experience of partnering site leadership teams within fast paced manufacturing.
  • Someone who loves getting under the skin of the business to understand and influence key drivers (material and labour variances, product costing, yield, wasteage, NPD performance, capex ROI etc).
  • A natural relationship builder - you will be absolutely at home out in the manufacturing areas discussing what is happening and sharing insights from the MI pack.
  • A leader - someone able to coach and develop a small team of finance business partners.
  • Highly astute - a qualified accountant with clear commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Manufacturing experience is vital for this one - you also need CIMA or equivalent.

6 month initial assignment to begin asap, £500 / day (inside IR35). Site based 4 days per week Wiltshire.
