Are you progressing through CIMA, getting stuck into the nuts and bolts of management accounting but looking to step into a fully fledged business partnering role? This is a business-facing, commercially focused role for someone at a relatively early stage of their career. You’ll be joining a PE backed £50m turnover group growing at an exciting pace. The role reports to a supportive and modern thinking Head of FP&A. The role works extremely closely with the non-finance project/site managers. You’ll be bridging the gap between ops and finance.

You’ll be drilling into KPI reports, P&L costs, impacts of margin, profit drivers, levers of growth, budgets and sales forecasts. It’s a balance of analysis and reporting coupled with relationship building with the managers and directors out in the business. You’ll provide hugely valuable insight and commentary that will drive evidence-based decision making. It’s a chance to develop incredibly useful commercial understanding of the business. You’ll be helping colleagues better understand the financials of their business units and the impact of decisions on the top and bottom line.

It would suit a CIMA/ACCA studier looking to move into an analytical role that is business facing and commercially focused. You need to be able to drive for this one – it’s a multi-site business (Yorkshire travel required) and your time will be spent out at sites getting an understanding of what is happening (bringing the numbers to life!).

Mega role for an ambitious, professional CIMA/ACCA studier.

Required:
  • A relevant degree and studying toward ACCA/CIMA.
  • Excellent Excel skills and solid fundamental awareness of month end accounting/management accounts prep.
  • Superb communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to relay financial info to a non-finance audience.
  • Drive and naturally proactive approach.
  • Keeness to move away from financial accounting/reporting and into FBP/FP&A.

Amazing opportunity for someone currently at assistant management accountant/MA level looking for a more exciting challenge.
