Are you a hand‑on Bookkeeper / Company Accountant / Assistant Accountant looking to join a friendly SME that can offer exceptional work‑life balance and a high degree of security? You’ll be joining a £5m turnover group in Chesterfield.

In a varied role, reporting to the FD, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the day‑to‑day financial processes and transactional accounting for the business (purchase ledger, sales ledger, VAT return, bank rec, month end recs, supporting management accounts prep).

Qualifications:
  • Experience at Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper/Company Accountant level either within another SME business or an accounting practice.
  • AAT ideally (not a pre‑requisite).
  • Understanding of Excel and ideally Sage software.
  • Highly methodical – you’ll be someone proud of your organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a friendly small team.
