The Opportunity
Are you a hands on Bookkeeper / Company Accountant / Assistant Accountant looking to join a friendly SME that can offer exceptional work life balance and a high degree of security? You’ll be joining a £5m turnover group in Chesterfield.
In a varied role, reporting to the FD, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the day to day financial processes and transactional accounting for the business (purchase ledger, sales ledger, VAT return, bank rec, month end recs, supporting management accounts prep).
It’s a welcoming, professional and profitable owner-managed business with a superb track record. Amazing work life balance (busy role but no overtime required, lunchtime finish on a Friday!)… it would suit someone who wants to add value but also wants a relatively stress-free job in a collaborative culture.
You are working for an approachable, supportive and diligent FD who will provide guidance and training wherever required but will also give you loads of autonomy.
Required:
- Experience at Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper / Company Accountant level either within another SME business or an accounting practice.
- AAT ideally (not a pre-requisite).
- Understanding of Excel and ideally Sage software.
- Highly methodical – you will be someone proud of your organisation.
