The Opportunity
Are you an ambitious, career-focused Management Accountant (recently qualified or finalist) looking to join a growing SME amid a period of investment and change?
This will give the successful candidate exceptional exposure and experience – working for a talented modern-thinking FD.
There’s lots to get stuck into for the professional £40m turnover group – overhaul and enhancement of existing controls and processes, streamlining, development of more commercially insightful MI and KPIs, business partnering leaders across the business, drilling into the P&L to influence decision making.
It’s an ideal role for someone keen to equip themselves with the skills to swiftly progress into a head of finance / FD or perhaps FP&A role – very broad and involved position with autonomy but valuable mentoring.
It’s a growing group with ambitious investors / board leaders.
You will be someone who enjoys adding value and making an impact.
Someone who will thrive in a setting where your ideas will be welcomed and you have the freedom to make positive change.
It would suit someone with a solid foundation of accounting skills (industry or maybe practice), recently qualified or expecting to qualify in the next 12 months.
Required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships.
- Ability to prepare and interrogate management accounts packs and use the info to deliver insights to non finance colleagues.
- A positive, proactive approach to adding value, solving new problems.
- CIMA / ACCA / ACA (finalist or qualified).
- Excellent Excel skills and ideally experience of Power BI.
