What you’ll be doing:

• Leading on complex tax investigations, enquiries, and disclosures – across corporate and personal tax
• Acting as an internal adviser to Partners and teams handling sensitive or high‑stakes matters
• Working directly with HMRC to manage dialogue, defend positions, and resolve disputes
• Mentoring more junior team members, helping them develop both confidence and technical skill
• Playing a strategic role in how the firm manages risk, trains staff, and protects its clients

What you’ll need:

• CTA qualified or HMRC‑trained – with deep investigations and dispute experience
• Comfortable handling COP8, COP9, nudge letters, voluntary disclosures, and complex casework
• A natural communicator – able to balance empathy, credibility, and technical clarity under pressure
• Someone who sees the bigger picture, not just the immediate file
• A desire to lead – not just in title, but in presence, influence, and example
